quotes IMHO you should keep saving for a bit!... £200 is too little to feel a difference in your existing wheels. I would recommend shimano ultegra wheels.. (1654g) you can pick these up for around £270 or a hand built set like hope hoops pro3 wich will be a comfier wheel(more spokes). I don't think you will find any much lighter than the askiums for the price, unless you look on eBay.

quotes yeah I have a set of Mavic Askiums, they came with the bike. I use them as a winter trainer. There not a bad wheel for the money! smooth barings but I wouldn't call them light(1900g) I would just about call the wheelset in the picture light (1314g). Carbon fork will be a great upgrade too!

quotes Yeah, the majority of the crit races around here people ride caad10's 105 with carbon wheelsets on. £1000 for the bike and £1000 for the wheels! ha

quotes cheers man, The ultremos are ace!.. I have a set of the GP4000s too and there a great tire, there actually on my bike at the moment (winter setup) but I'm just waiting for spring to put the ultremos back on! I would go for the ultrmos if i were you. But a lighter wheelset is where the money should be going!, just ride the bike until the tyres ware out, then you will have save up enough for a nice wheelset and some ultremos + you will probably be stronger and fitter!

Yup, and joining my local bike club in summer. Had a go on one when I went for a time trial at my local bike club not long ago, very smooth and light bike, certainly would buy one if I had more £££.
